RESIDENT HELP

Start with your
community's instructions.

Use the written instructions provided for your community. Slate owns, supplies and services the branded collection bins and replaces broken bins free, no questions asked. Direct help and complaint reporting through each bin’s QR code is planned; live reporting details will be provided when your community starts service. This website is not a channel for apartment-specific resident reports.

When is collection?

The proposed standard schedule is Sunday-Thursday. Set trash out from 6-8 p.m., ready by 8 p.m., and bring empty bins inside by 9 a.m. Collection begins after 8 p.m.; the completion window is agreed for each property and may extend to midnight. Follow your community's approved instructions, including any schedule changes.

How should I prepare my trash?

Use the Slate-supplied lidded bin at your approved collection point. Household-trash bags must be intact, securely tied, fully inside with the lid closed, and no heavier than 25 pounds each. Extra bags, loose piles, liquids, exposed sharps, chemicals and bulky items are outside ordinary collection. Follow your community's written instructions and ask management about anything unclear.

What about furniture or large items?

Bulk-item removal needs separate approval. Ask management about your property's process before placing furniture or other large items out for collection.

I need to report a service issue.

For now, contact your property management team using its established support channel. Include the details it requests so the issue can be directed appropriately.

A few useful checks before setting anything out.

If something is unclear, check with management before leaving items for collection. Your property's written instructions take precedence over general information on this page.

  • Confirm that the service applies to your building or community.
  • Use only your property's approved collection location and time.
  • Follow the preparation instructions your management team provides.
  • Get approval for bulky items or anything outside ordinary household collection.
